Division 2 Contracting Ltd. specializes in the installation of interlocking walkways, retaining walls, decks and fences, and plant materials – in both residential and commercial applications. At Division 2 Contracting Ltd., every completed project is an example of the quality and attention to detail we pride ourselves in.  This is the ONLY way we know how to work.

We offer our clients the opportunity to work with two Architecture graduates, as well as a landscape designer, to design and install a visually appealing, usable outdoor space.  It is our goal to work with our residential clients to achieve the realization of their landscape needs, while staying within the scope of their available budgets. We want to work for you – no job is too small.

Commercially, we thrive in a team environment, and have much experience in working from existing plans to achieve the desired look.  When contracted to work with other tradespeople on new construction, we have worked with budgets as large as $250,000, completing the work within specified completion dates.

Having over 25 years combined experience in landscape and construction management, co-owners Randy Minakata and John Cheeseman, both Ryerson University Architecture graduates, are skilled in the multi-faceted process of taking a design from ideas on paper to seeing a project through to the end result. Definition of Division 2

Derived from the term MasterFormat, which is an indexing system for organizing construction data and catagorizing large construction projects to smaller sub-categories called divisions. MasterFormat provides the construction industry with a method to orgranize a large project into smaller more identifiable activities through it's 16 divisions. Division 2 is more commonly known to industry professionals as all work identified within the scope of site work or earthworks. Division 2 defines the greater scope of landscaping ranging from preparing the site for construction, to site grading, installing fences or walkways, or even building foundations.
